Studies have shown an estimated <a href=\"https:\/\/journals.lww.com\/co-allergy\/Abstract\/2015\/10000\/Epidemiology_of_allergic_conjunctivitis__clinical.14.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">6-30%<\/a> of the general population have symptoms of eye allergies.<\/li><li>Occur frequently in people with allergic rhinitis (hay fever).<\/li><li>Can be seasonal or perennial.<\/li><li>Usually cause mild symptoms. However, <a href=\"https:\/\/journals.lww.com\/co-allergy\/Abstract\/2015\/10000\/Epidemiology_of_allergic_conjunctivitis__clinical.14.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">30% of patients<\/a> suffer from intense and frequent symptoms.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Common Triggers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Grass<\/li><li>Ragweed<\/li><li>Animal dander<\/li><li>Feathers<\/li><li>Dust mites<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Symptoms<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Itchy eyes (most common)<\/li><li>Eyes that are red, swollen, or stinging<\/li><li>Watery eyes<\/li><li>Blurred vision<\/li><li>Sensitivity to light<\/li><li>Swollen eyelids<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other possibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>While the symptoms above are associated with eye allergies, other causes exist as well. These include infections like pink eye or eye strain from staring at your computer. You can do this by limiting your time spent outdoors while pollen levels are high. You can also use an air purifier and regularly clean your home and bedding to remove indoor triggers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, it is not always feasible to stay inside and avoid allergens.
