Just recently, Charleston ENT & Allergy supported technology innovation throughout the state with a diamond level donation ($200,000) to the South Carolina Research Authority\u2019s (SCRA) Industry Partnership Fund (IPF). Since 2006, the IPF has provided grants to accelerate technology growth in research, academia, entrepreneurship, and industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthering the innovation economy fosters ideas and technology innovation, which leads to state-of-the-art technology and higher-paying jobs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recent grants from IPF have helped Heartbeat Technologies build a device called \u201cThe SAVER\u201d to improve cardiac arrest outcomes. Through IPF a Charleston-based startup, Arista Orthopedics is developing medical devices to treat joint disease. New super-efficient viral particle isolation kits from Victory Exofibres LLC allow for more efficient medical diagnostic testing with the help of grant funding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
